Problem Solving Process
PSP 101
I got the opportunity to complete the hands-on course of Problem Solving Process with our Danaher team. This training reintroduced me to some of the tools and skills and also taught me a few new problem solving methods to Define, Investigate, Verfiy-Implement and Ensure Sustainment. It taught me the Danaher way of approaching the PSP. I learnt, implemented and experimented with the usage of various tools like, 5-WHYs, Gemba, Symptoms/Problem/Causes Relationship: Tree Concept, Causal Chain Continuum, Fishbone Diagram, Mutuall Exclusive - Collectively Exhaustive, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, BOB/WOW, Pareto Chart - Level 1 and 2, Impact Matrix, Poka Yoke, etc.

Udemy
PLC Programming (Rockwell Automation)
I have recently completed the Udemy.com course on PLC programming in Rockwell software RSLogix 500 and FactoryTalk View Studio. The course gave me a latest knowledge of the basic tools and tricks in PLC programming. It also educated me on all the correct practices and methods used by programmers in the current scenarios. The course was prepared keeping in mind all the different PLCs available in the market. It was great to gain knowledge about the use of ladder logic to solve complex industrial automation problems and making life easy and safe for everyone involved with the production of industrial goods. The quizzes were properly placed and very well designed.

ISA Pune
Industrial Automation Training
I completed the basic course on PLC programming at Automation and Control Systems, Pune in the Monsoon of 2010. We learnt about PLC prgramming, hardware and software. Ladder diagram programming was taught and a number of quizzes and tests were designed to help us learn and understand better. We worked on PLCs from the ompanies like Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley etc. We programmed in software simulator CoDeSys to program Mitsubishi controllers. I became extremely fascinated with automation after this course.

Robosoft Systems
Embedded, VLSI & Robotics Internship
I attended and completed this month long course in the Summer of 2011 at Robosoft Systems in Mumbai. A variety of topics were taught in the course including Robotics, VLSI/FPGA programming, Embedded systems and more. We built and programmed a variety of robots including Robotic arm with 5 D.O.F. that used an Arduino Uno as its controller, a differential drive robot that ran on an AtMega32 processor. We also learnt about programming in Assembly and high level languages. Robots that worked on PIC and ARM controllers were used to show the different processors and controllers available for Robotics.
After this course, I was completely taken over by robotics and automation. The possibilities in the field of robotics lying ahead are so vast and varied that I chose this field to specialize in. It also prompted to make a robot for my Final year project during my undergrads in Pune University.
